Nestling in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains with spectacular views. It provides a tranquil retreat in an area of outstanding beauty. Built in 2005, using environment friendly materials and lots of love. It provides a special living space with lots of light and spaciousness. Our Cortijo is self sufficient. Water is supplied from our own well, while electricity is generated by solar power. Our yurt is situated 70 meters away from the house and is unique for its ecological architecture and natural blend within the olive terraces. Week 300 euros Weekend 180 euros Currency Conversion Accommodations: Bedrooms: The Big yurt - Beautiful 7m diameter round structure with wooden floor and canvas walls. South terrace with mountain view. Inside is a twin bed sofa that can be opened up at night and a mattress for additional guests. The Small yurt is 5m diameter. Bathrooms: Outdoors compost loo 15 meters away from yurt. Outdoors shower equipped with solar system to heat the water. Kitchen: Fully equipped with cooker, fridge/freezer and a comprehensive selection of cooking utensils, cutlery and glasses. Living Rooms: Living room is adjacent to the kitchen which has a fireplace, dining table, double sofa bed, hi-Fi radio with tape and CD player. Other: Our yurts are a 7 and 5 diameter structures. They are an ideal space for meditation, Yoga or just to experience enother type of housing vibrations. Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: All bed linen and towels are provided with the exception of beach/poolside towels. The property is cleaned and bed linen changed weekly. Amenities/Facilities provided: oven fridge/freezer room fans private pool (for sole use of guests) Outside Space Beautiful terrace that is classic for evening meals is situated on the southern part of the yurt with easy access from the kitchen/living room. Coast/Beaches Nearest beaches on the Costa Tropical are Playa Granada near Salobrena and at Torrenueva just east of Motril. Journey time about 45 mins. Skiing The ski resort "Sierra Nevada"ý is situated 1.5 hour drive from us. Special interest holidays We provide healing retreats for small groups 2-4 people. In the retreat we combine Yoga instructions, Meditation varayety of treatments (Reflexology, Massage, Shiatsu and Acupuncture) and a great vegetarian food. Travel The yurt is a comfortable 2hr drive from Malaga airport and 1hr drive from Granada airport. There are many good and very reasonably priced car hire firms from the airport. Distances Distance from yurt - Lanjaron 5 mins, Orgiva 15 mins, Granada 45 mins. Further details Horses trekking facilities are available near by and may be pre-booked, as can visits to the Alhambra in Granada, 45 mins drive from the house. Nature walks, high altitude treks and other activities can also be arranged locally, please ask us. Lanjaron is well equipped with shops, chemists, banks and numerous bars and restaurants. The bustling Thursday Street Market in the neighbouring town of Orgiva is well worth a visit. Booking notes A deposit of 25% is required at time of booking with the balance due at least one month before arrival. Our English speaking caretakers will meet you in Lanjaron and show you up to the house. They live nearby and will be on call throughout your stay to deal with any inquiries or problems that you may have.
